Project Narrative

An agreement with water users was obtained that resulted in the removal of a diversion dam on the Pahsimeroi, returning 1.17 cfs of water to the river. The removal of the diversion dam effectively removed a fish passage barrier.Further actions on this project involved improving the irrigation system on the PBSC ditch. The combination of the improved irrigation system as well as NRCS implemented recommendations for proper water application based on the soil types resulted an additional 2 or 3 cfs returned to the stream. The improved irrigation system also resulted in reduced power costs.
