Moen Property Riparian Enhancement

Project Narrative

During the term of this project there were a few deviations due to a change in ownership of the property. Ownership of the property was passed from The Nature Conservancy to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. As part of this transfer both parties agreed that the homestead houses would be removed. The timeframe to move the houses was over and above the original worksite end date. Two hundred and fifty feet of the project proposed fencing sets behind the homestead houses. Rather than tear down the existing fence 250 feet of fence, build the new fence, tear down the new fence to remove the houses and then put the new fence back, IDFG agreed to construct the 250 of jack post and pole fence after the buildings have been moved. The materials for the final 250 feet of fence purchased through this project was delivered to the worksite and protected from wet weather conditions so IDFG can build the final 250 feet of fence with these materials once the houses have been removed.
