Project Narrative

The proposed project idendified replacement of 1800-feet of dilapidated fence along the Lemhi River. The actual fence constructed on the site was 1,670 feet long – 130 feet shorter than the original propoal. The difference in length was due to difference in the actual lay out of the fence in construction from the original measurements. This project was implemented entirely on private land. The completed fence provides protection of important spawning habitat for Snake River ESU spring/summer Chinook salmon. The reach of river protected by completion of this fence also supports spawning, rearing, and migration habitat for Snake River Basin ESU steelhead trout and listed bull trout.
